Departing Queenstown at midday we venture through the rugged Kawarau gorge to visit four of the regions finest vineyards located in Bannockburn and the Gibbston Valley. Lunch is provided in the delightful setting of Carricks new winery overlooking Bannockburn Inlet. An excellent day out.

The tour takes in four to five outstanding vineyards from the Gibbston, Bannockburn and Alexandra areas, includes wine tastings, a tour of New Zealands largest wine cave and a tasting of excellent local cheeses . A fascinating insight into the region.
For lunch we relax in one of the regions excellent restaurants The Big Picture, Olivers of Clyde or Orchard Garden. The Big Picture is a new and unique wine and food experience including, fine cuisine, an Aroma Room and a virtual flight over Central Otago with a virtual meeting of the regions leading winemakers.

For the first time tasters or wine connoisseurs an in-depth introduction to three Queenstown wineries, a cheese factory visit and a wine cave tour. Travelling time is kept to a minimum, the pace is relaxed and wine always superb.

The Winehouse & Kitchen winery restaurant is a restored farm villa which prides
itself on providing the best of local produce with a farmhouse theme as well as
3 of its own wine labels. The grounds have dramatic views of the surrounding
mountainsides and Kawarau River as well as croquet lawns, potager gardens and even an 'interpretive' wine garden.
This is a family-friendly restaurant where parents can relax while their children entertain themselves with the selection of retro toys and the sandhill.
A dining experience here is always memorable.
Located just 20 minutes from Queenstown, along State Highway 6, and adjacent
to the world famous Kawarau Bungy Centre site.
