Rent one of our quality sea kayaks and explore the many islands, coves and sandy beaches that beautiful Lake Manapouri has to offer. Joining on one of our popular day or two day guided kayak and cruise tours into Doubtful Sound. We cater for small, personal groups where you have time to relax and enjoy an intimate experience with nature.

In our 14th season, we are Fiordland's sea kayaking specialists, offering the only true wilderness sea kayaking and camping experiences, all with a strong focus on conservation. Groups limited to maximum of 8.
We offer guided sea kayaking:
Doubtful Sound 3, 4 and 5 days for those who want to take on the challenge of Fiordland's remoteness and be more than rewarded for the effort. Scheduled departures mid November to mid April.
All kayaking and camping equipment provided see brochure Sea Kayak Fiordland for further details. Bring food, swimsuit or shorts, soft shoes or sandals, socks, towel, sunglasses, sun block, water bottle, insect repellent, camera, rain jacket, dry clothes and footwear for after kayaking; if camping also bring sleeping bag, plates, cup, cutlery (available from us if necessary).

Sea kayaking is the way to explore Fiordland's wilderness and experience its wildlife with minimal impact. In our 14th season, we are Fiordland's sea kayaking specialists, offering the only true wilderness sea kayaking and camping experiences, all with a strong focus on conservation. Groups limited to maximum of 8.
We offer guided sea kayaking:
Milford Sound 1 day for those with limited time but it deserves a whole day so 4 to 5 hours of sea kayaking on the fiord, stopping for lunch. Departs daily September to May from Te Anau (6.30am) and Milford (8.30am).

Milford Sound Kayak Trip EX Milford Sound
|
Group size is a max of 8 people per guide in 4 double kayaks. These are stable sea kayaks and have a rudder system for steering by the person sitting in the back position. Paddling time on the fiord is 4 hrs at a relaxed pace suitable for everyone.
The guide will then group you together for any further briefing, then your adventure begins.
Paddle out from Deep Water Basin to the mouth of the Arthur river, continue on out into the fiord to Sinbad gulley and beneath mile high Mitre Peak. Cross to Harrison's Cove. Paddle down past penguin tree to Bowen Falls cross back to Arthur river and back to Deep Water Basin. (note we often do this trip in reverse.)

Scenic Flight from Queenstown to Milford Sound. You will be met at the air field in Milford and taken out on the Sunriser Classic Sea Kayaking adventure, we then return you to the airfield for your return flight. This trip only operates during the winter months.

Relax and enjoy the scenic drive to Milford Sound before joining the Sunriser classic sea kayak adventure.
After your paddling experience enjoy lunch at Mitre Peak Cafe or picnic in front of the awe inspiring Mitre Peak.
Our experienced guides will then take you on a guided tour of this Famous road back to Te Anau.
Highlights include The Chasm, Mirror lakes, Hollyford River, Eglinton Valley, as well as your guides favourite spots.

Suitable for those with good water confidence and those looking of a combination of experiencing Milford and enjoying a more challenging adventure in wind n waves..
This exclusive paddle has a ratio of one guide to seven clients and utilizes our power boat M.V. Seaka. We power boat out through the waves to just above Stirling Falls. Launch the kayaks and paddle down beneath the falls under massive granite over hangs. Stopping for afternoon tea of Rosco's famous scroggin and hot juice. Viewing wildlife and the natural flora and fauna.
