This is the perfect trek for riders and horses on a hot summers day. This longer trek gives you an excellent opportunity to see more of the area. You will trek through the mountains and back down through the valleys. You will experience lots of panoramic views of the lake, as we travel to the side of working wool shed, and then we will ascend up through the mountain where experienced riders can really cut loose in a large paddock. Operates in the summer months only

Moonlight Stables

Horse riding

Saddle up for a guided horse trek across the tussock covered hills of Moonlight Country. Ride amongst the animals on a typical deer farm and enjoy the spectacular alpine views of the Remarkables and Coronet Peak ski area. The views will take your breath away. You"ll enjoy seeing grazing elk and rare white fallow deer on the 800 acre Doonholme farm. Sturdy shoes and long pants are a must for this ride. Courtesy Coach pickup from Queenstown accommodation and booking offices. Safety Helmets and Driazbone coats supplied.
