There are several river crossings over the Rees and Dart Rivers on this 3 1/2 hour ride with magnificent views towards the head of Lake Wakatipu with plenty of opportunities for some faster paced riding. This trip is not suitable for beginner/intermediate riders - experienced riders only. Departure from Glenorchy is at 9:15am.

The experienced to the inexperienced will enjoy the challenges of this magical ride.

Lucky riders may also encounter some wild deer and goats. We will then desend back throught the valley, crossing over 15 water crossings as we ride. This trek is less suitable for young children who do not have experience.

This trek has it all, stunning panoramic lake and mountain vistas, river crossings, and plenty of flat terrain for experienced riders to cut loose. A great trek for families. After riding up the river braid we cross into some of Ben Lomonds flatter terrain. We crest the hill for a fantastic photo opportunity, then ride back to base around Moke Lake, a beautiful swimming and fishing spot. Operates in the summer months only
